1942: The HMS Curacoa came across the Rms Queen Mary's bow adn sank in two pieces. 338 men died and 108 were later picked up by a destroyer. The Queen Mary did not stop because she had no choice. The QM was carrying 15,000 troops to the UK. her plates on the bow were folded back about 40 ft.on

Today marks the day when the Bismrack sank. That mighty battle ship is now no more...
In May of 1941 the war had just begun
